DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 20 DECEMBER 2005
AND NOW THIS WORD TO ALL OF YOU: YOU SHOULD BE LIKE ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY, FULL OF SYMPATHY TOWARD EACH OTHER, LOVING ONE ANOTHER WITH TENDER HEARTS AND HUMBLE MINDS. (1 PETER
3:8)
As Christians we should, at all times, be living by the laws of the Kingdom of God, The world prospers using the ‘law’ of buying and selling, whereas we should be living and prospering by the ‘law’ of sowing and reaping. Bernard and I have found that we can never out give God, and as we have determined to live with the attitude that we want to be sowers of good things, in thought, word and deed, we have experienced the richness of Gods breakthrough and blessing in every area of our lives.
So with this thought in mind and the command to be like one happy family, loving and caring for one another, we need to be aware of those within the family of God who may be facing a very lean Christmas. We need to we willing to give others access to our excess. I am sure that most of us know someone needy who we can share with and bless. What do you have an excess of, maybe you have more clothes than you
really need, maybe hundred of praise and worship tapes or CD’s, possibly your cupboards are overflowing with food. Whatever you have, find someone to share it with. There maybe folks you know who will spend Christmas day alone, consider inviting someone to share Christmas lunch with you and your
family.
And let us remember to do all these things with hearts that are humble and tender, not with attitudes of religious superiority as if we were doing someone a great favour. And last but not least God is always blessed by the ‘widows’ mite’. When a person blesses someone else out of their our own lack, God opens the windows of Heaven and pours out a blessing that will not be contained, for He sees the size of the heart not the
gift. He never despises the small beginnings and neither should we. If you have needs right now, bless someone with whatever you have that you can share or sow, and see Gods breakthrough arrive on your
doorstep.
Be blessed to be a blessing. Speak the Word not the world!
Have a caring Tuesday
Much love
CHRISSY
