DAILY WORD – THURSDAY 15 DECEMBER 2005
MAY I NEVER FORGET YOUR WORDS; FOR THEY ARE MY ONLY HOPE. THEREFORE I WILL KEEP ON OBEYING YOU FOREVER AND FOREVER, FREE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF YOUR LAWS. (PSALM 119:43-46)
As we come to the end of another year, it is a good time to reflect on the goodness of God in the past months. This, for many, has been a year of great change, maybe not necessarily in the area of physical change, but certainly in the Spirit, mind and emotions. This has been a year where our heart cry should have been ‘Lord change me, make me everything you destined me to be’.
This has been a year of the breaking of many old cycles and mind-sets, a year of taking Gods Word as our truth, and not what the world and its systems tell us. This has been a year of progressive yielding to the Lord, sowing good seed and harvesting restoration and renewal.
This has been a year to learn that true freedom can only be found in obedience to Gods Word; coming into the revelation knowledge that the world with all its lies, perversions and rebellion lead only to the captivity of our souls. A captivity that brings despair and loneliness, finding ourselves at times in the midst of the ‘pleasures’ of the world and yet oh so
alone.
So as we draw close to the beginning of another year let us examine ourselves that we would not enter the New Year carrying old baggage. Christmas is a time of goodwill, so let’s search our hearts for any signs of unforgiveness or offense, quickly extending as much mercy to others, as we receive from our Heavenly Father.
Let our prayer this Christmas be, ‘Lord write Your Word upon our hearts, that we will enter the New Year walking in our destiny, knowing that we are blessed and highly favoured because we are children of the Most High
God’.
FREEDOM IS --- BELIEVING, TRUSTING IN, SPEAKING, AND OBEYING ‘THE
WORD’
NOT THE‘WORLD’!
