DAILY WORD – FRIDAY 02 DECEMBER 2005

AND LET THE BEAUTY AND DELIGHTFULNESS AND FAVOUR OF THE LORD OUR GOD BE UPON US; CONFIRM AND ESTABLISH THE WORK OF OUR HANDS --- YES THE WORK OF OUR HANDS, CONFIRM AND ESTABLISH IT.

(PSALM 90:17)

Beauty, delightfulness and favour confirming the work of our hands. What a wonderful promise, that when we use our hands (our actions) to bless others, Gods beauty, His favour and His delight will be upon us and evident in our lives. And not only that, but the beauty, favour and delight of the Lord will then not only confirm the work of our hands, but establish it.

Wow, what a win win situation! God is not saying that He is just sitting in Heaven watching to see how long we can ‘do it right’ waiting (with a rod of punishment) for us to make a mistake or get tired and burnt out; no He has promised that He will, not only be a partner in our work, but empower the work of our hands, confirming it and establishing it.

When God is the centre of everything we do, lives are transformed. When our desire is first to walk in obedience to Gods Word, and then to be a blessing to others, the favour, beauty and delight of the Lord permeates and fragrances every aspect of our lives, drawing those around us into His presence.

Doors that we once thought would never open to us are opened, relationships restored, and physical, financial and emotional needs met. When we use our hands to give, lifting them first to give praise and thanks to the living God, and then extending them out to the world, our cups overflow with Gods goodness and provision.

SO WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR HANDS TODAY?

Today, let us commit all of our thoughts, words and deeds to the Lord and watch the ‘Kingdom of God’ grow.

BELIEVE, TRUST IN, SPEAK, AND OBEY ‘THE WORD’

NOT THE ‘WORLD’!
