DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 1 NOVEMBER 2005 THE LORD SAYS, “I WILL MAKE MY PEOPLE STRONG WITH POWER FROM ME! THEY GO WHEREVER THEY WISH, AND WHEREVER THEY GO, THEY WILL BE UNDER MY PERSNAL CARE.” (ZECHARIAH 10:12) The key to this promise becoming a reality in our lives is in the words ‘my people’. From beginning to end The Bible tells us that God blesses obedience, and that disobedience (rebellion) is as witchcraft, and will bring with it nothing but sorrow. Whose people are you? Are you obeying Gods Word, or are you obeying the demands of your flesh and emotions. I remember a time in my own life when, in the depths of a valley, I could not understand why things were happening the way they were and why there seemed to be no end to the journey. What I didn’t understand was that even though I was seemingly doing the right things, my heart was full of anger and resentment at my situation, and my speech full of complaints. Without realizing it I was walking in disobedience to the command to praise and be thankful. The kingdom principle of sowing and reaping was working for me in the negative as I continued to dwell on all the lies of the enemy, constantly speaking (sowing) words of death over my life. Obedience starts in the heart. We need to turn away from the lie that God doesn’t really care about us, or that we have been abandoned to our fate. And make no mistake, if we truly want to know where we are going wrong, the Lord will show us. The problem is that, if we are honest, it is so much easier to place the blame elsewhere. At times we don’t even see the attitude of anger and rebellion lurking in our hearts as we wrestle with our Heavenly Father, rather believing the lies of the enemy. And don’t ever believe the lie that you don’t have enough faith, for The Lord Himself is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Ask and you WILL receive! Never alone, never forsaken. No, He has promised never to leave us or forsake us, and yes we are under His personal care and protection, especially in the valleys. DECIDE TODAY to walk in obedience, in thought word and deed, reaching out, giving that which you, yourself, most need. Then you will know His power when seemingly powerless in a situation, His strength when you are weak, His love when you feel abandoned, His joy when you are surrounded by sorrow, and His peace in the midst of the valley. TODAY---- BELIEVE THE WORD NOT THE WORLD! Have an obedient Tuesday. Much love Chrissy Mail to: info@worshiphim.co.za Visit us on http://www.worshiphim.co.za |
