Don’t despise the small beginnings!

As Christians, we often want to do big things for God, and we want to see God do big things for us. We have big dreams, big desires and there’s nothing wrong with this, as long as the goal doesn’t prevent us from embracing the journey.

 We can be so focused on ‘the big picture’ that we miss all the small blessings and victories along the way and we too quickly forget to be thankful for what He has already done for us. We see only the things that still stand between us and our destination.

We need to ‘stop and smell the roses’ celebrating the ‘small beginnings’ the small steps of faith, learning to sow and then reap the right things, learning to trust Him in the worst of times, and leaping for joy when our obedience brings victory.

Lets not throw away all the little opportunities to bless others in our daily walk, while waiting for the ‘big doors’ to open. God isn’t waiting for us to do something really big for Him. He is waiting for us to let Him do something really big in and through us in our every day lives.

SO TODAY?    Embrace the small beginnings; we serve a big God!
