DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2005

FOR WHATEVER IS BORN OF GOD IS VICTORIOUS OVER THE WORLD (1 JOHN 5:4)

Everything we need to overcome anything this world may throw at us can be found only in our God and His Word. So therefore we need to be very particular about what we give birth to each and every day of our lives.

SAY WHAT YOU PRAY

 I have learnt to both pray Gods Word and speak it as well. Don’t leave your prayer closet and open your mouth only to negate everything you have just prayed.

SPEAK WHAT YOU SEEK

If we are truly ‘seeking first the Kingdom of God’, why are we speaking ‘the world’ with all its life destroying properties? So many times in my past, I have searched the Word for a promise from God, only to continue speaking the problem after having found the answer I needed. We must ‘speak what we seek’ in order to ‘receive what we perceive’.

YOU WILL WALK WHAT YOU TALK; YOU WILL BEAR WHAT YOU DECLARE

Recently the Lord started to impress me with the importance of not eating my seed.

But not only did He speak to me about financial seed, but also the seed of my speech. He showed me that when I do not speak out the Word of God that is within me, I am in fact swallowing the seed in my mouth, for he has said that ‘His Word never returns void’. The answers to all our problems are in our mouths, ready to be spoken and then empowered by the living God. In the same way, Satan waits eagerly, ready to pervert the course of our lives from the moment we open our mouths and agree with his lies.

YOU’RE ON THE BRINK OF WHAT YOU THINK

Although I touched on this yesterday, I feel so convicted about the importance of taking all our thoughts captive. When the Lord told me ‘you’re on the brink of what you think’, He showed me the edge of a cliff. He showed me, that negative thoughts are like a bottomless pit and if we step over the edge of that cliff, we will just continue to fall down, down, down. Down into the pit of depression, despair, fear and dread, hopelessness and eventually death. Death of all our hopes and dreams and death of His word within us. In contrast, however, when we fix our minds on His Word, His goodness, His love, His promises, His mercy and His never-ending presence, it lifts us on wings as eagles, and we soar above the world with all its lies and deceptions.

Remember today:  GOD GIVES SEED TO THE SOWER; DON’T EAT YOUR SEED!
