DAILY WORD – WEDNESDAY 17 AUGUST 2005

A GOOD MAN EATS GOOD FROM THE FRUIT OF HIS MOUTH.  (PROVERBS 13:2)

What will we sow with our mouths today?

Time and time again, we are warned in scripture to guard our hearts and mouths. God warns us over and over to watch the words that come from our mouths. We are told that if two or more agree concerning anything it shall be done (Matt 18:19).

So who are you agreeing with today?

Are you agreeing with the opinions of the world, your situation or circumstances, the words of discouragement that Satan is whispering in your ear, or are you determined to agree with the promises of God?

And this decision should apply not only to what we say about our own lives but also the lives of those around us. For example, when was the last time, without thinking, that you agreed negatively with another person about someone in your place of work? Alternatively, what about the brother or sister at church that you complained to someone about, making negative comments.

We need to realize that, what we sow is what we will reap!

We were created for Godly fellowship with our heavenly father and with each other.

We should seek to be a blessing to those around us in order that we too might be blessed.

It is only the love of God shed abroad in our hearts, that can touch the lives of others with anything meaningful.

Remember today:  LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE; SPEAK LIFE.
