DAILY WORD – WEDNESDAY 8^TH JUNE 2005

JAMES 1:9 --- A CHRISTIAN WHO doesn’t AMOUNT TO MUCH IN THIS WORLD SHOULD BE GLAD, FOR HE IS GREAT IN THE LORDS SIGHT. (living translation)

YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOU DO!

We live in a world that values people by their material wealth and position. As Christians, we need to be careful not to buy into this belief system. The Word tells us that we are not of this world but are heirs to the kingdom of God and as such, whether we are road sweepers or bank managers we have the very life force of God within us empowering us to change the world around us. We do not change our world because of our worldly position, but by letting the love of God flow in and through us. So today don’t say “I am only a ------ “, but stand and say, “I am a child of the living God anointed and blessed so as to be a blessing to those around me”.
