Hello again. Yeah I know you’ve been waiting sometime for the next edition of our view “from the lighthouse”. But I’m sure upon devouring the content you’ll agree that it was worth the wait.
In keeping with our no-nonsense approach we’ll once again report only the truth and nothing else. So buckle up … here we go!!
2010 is an exciting year for the country, Pres. Zuma calls it the year of action, and indeed it will be the case for us, the "Phantoms". Check out he following articles and judge for yourself.
1. NEW LEAGUE, NEW CHALLENGES – SAME OLD FACES:
Your Club is taking on a whole new league in 2010. The Ingonyama League was very good to play in. Hopefully we can implement the lessons learned there in this new league.
Ennerdale rugby Football Club is now entering the President’s League [no reference to the Hon. Zuma]. In this league we will be facing new opposition like Soweto, Eden Park, UJ, Wits, and Panorama etc. READ

5. DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN CAPITAL:
When this club was formed in 2006 we set out to use it to be a tool through which we will endeavour to uplift Ennerdale’s youth. We still strive to that lofty ideal – daily. Therefore it gives us great joy to be able to announce that we’ve found a partner who shares our vision and our dream. Welcome aboard AO Developments and
Partners
I don’t’ blame you for asking “Who are they?” Well, they are our development partners and our friends. READ

6. FINANCIAL MATTERS:
During 2009 our transport account alone came to R 60 000.00. Bearing in mind that our players are young men who are still in school or have just finished school they are unable to contribute to the financial requirements of the Club. I will be failing in my duty if I do not acknowledge the most magnanimous and generous donations received from especially individuals in the club. READ

Local businesses could do worse than support our club. In previous editions we’ve highlighted the contributions of three local entrepreneurs who’ve supported us, Burglar Predator, Tiflins and The Health Haven. What about the rest?
Come on good people, we can do this and save some youngster from the troubles of this world that confronts them, daily.
7. FUNDRAISING:
In order to keep delivering the service that our Phantoms deserve, we are constantly looking to raise funds.
We have designed various ways in which you, supporters and fellow Ennerdalians can contribute.
1. You can register to become a donor. Visit www.ennerdalerfc.org.za for more information.
2. Come and support our Miss Ennerdale RFC pageant.

8. ENNERDALE RFC & GAUTENG GOVERNMENT [GPG]:
We have an excellent relationship with our provincial government. Government has always said that they can’t administer sport; it is the duty of communities and federations to do that. Government’s job is to create an environment in which it can be done. Ennerdale took up the challenge from government and the results are absolutely stunning. READ
