The launch of Overpass at this year’s Markex and SignAfrica tradeshows was a huge success, with the Vertical Wind Turbine - which uniquely combines advertising with renewable energy - drawing the most attention. Thousands of marketers flocked to these exhibitions to stock up on ideas, concepts, inspirations and contacts for the year ahead. It is great to see that Eco awareness and interest is picking up so much!

Nedbank, our most recent project, erected a billboard just outside of Cape Town next to an informal community. They installed the branded vertical wind turbine on top of the billboard, which generates electricity to light up the billboard at night. The great thing about this is that it generates enough electricity to supply the community’s school kitchen with electricity 24/7. Thus, Nedbank is being Eco-friendly, generating electricity for their own use, saving money and fulfilling a social responsibility.
Whoever uses renewable energy should also advertise it!
