The South African Government has recently passed the new smoking legislation, as I am sure that you are well aware of. If not, basically the new law states that: No smoking in 'partially enclosed' public places, such as covered patios, verandas, balconies, walkways and parking areas. No smoking within 5 metres from all entrances. Adults may not smoke in a car when a passenger under 12 years is present. No person under 18 may be allowed into a designated smoking area. An increase in the fines for smoking or allowing smoking in a non-smoking area.

I think that the new law is going to be a step in the right direction in achieving their goals.
