Dear Safety Expert,
Clean up Week is from 13
- 18 September 2010. The purpose of this campaign is to increase awareness by
educating the community about the social, environmental and economic benefits
of living in a clean and healthy environment!
Why not plan a CLEAN UP day on the 17th
September with your staff? Make it a FUN event and get everyone to dress
up in their ‘gardening clothes’. Supply your staff with recyclable bags
and hit the streets for a clean up. Start on your own premises, but also do
your bit in the surrounding areas. Your employees, dressed in their company
T-shirts, will promote your corporate image and responsibility towards the
environment!
Award prizes to staff members who come up with the most
creative ‘Recycle Box’ and / or who have picked up the most waste. Dump all the
collected waste in the parking lot at the main offices to create an
impact. Then separate the waste for recycling and disposal. Take photos
and display them on the company’s notice boards. Write a feature about
clean up day for your local community newspaper.
