ROCKS AND HARD PLACES
A SOUTH AFRICAN'S JOURNEY TO THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN ON EVERY CONTINENT
Alex Harris was 25 when he led an expedition to Mount Everest, the youngest person to do so. That was in 1996, and since then, he has continued to seek adventures in farwaway places. He has climbed the seven summits, led a number of expeditions and in 2006 won a silver medal at the World Masters Track cycling champs. As if those accomplishments are not enough, in 2008 he became the first South African to walk unsupported to the South Pole. This is a man who is passionate and listening to him speak is an opportunity you don't want to miss.
