Don't forget to Register for Courses being run in February in Johannesburg -

 7 - 9 Feb / A.L.F & Smile Tru
10 - 12 Feb / Maxillofacial Orthopedics & Orthodontics
13 - 15 Feb / Straightwire Therapy
17 - 19 Feb / Advanced Maxillofacial Orthopedics

Here is a short description of what to expect for the A.L.F & Smile Tru course:

Covering the latest Invisible Techniques in Orthodontics

The A.L.F appliance has proved to be one of the most effective removable appliances due to the excellent compliance achieved. It can be utilized in the upper and / or lower arch and can be constructed as a removable with clasps for retention or fixed in by means of bands.

Clear invisible aligners, as opposed to fixed appliances tend to be the orthodontic appliance of choice for the majority of patients. Unfortunately, they are limited in their ability to correct many malocclusions, unless you subscribe to the more expensive techniques advocated by the larger companies.

This seminar is designed to demonstrate how to combine the two techniques. A thorough understanding of the A.L.F and associated appliances is first provided followed by the identification of suitable aligner cases that require pre-treatment.

Fabrication of aligners, resetting techniques and placement are all covered in detail. The aligners can also be used to correct structural Class II"s. Cephalometric and T.M.J considerations are also explained.
