The International Maritime Organisation ( IMO ) Landside Training requirements as

referenced in

Amendment IMDG 34 – 08 effective from 01 January 2010

( NOTE : Training must be done on an annual basis as per legislsation requirements ,

certificates dated older than one year are invalid )

5)             Freight Forwarding and Clearing Sector

  IMO Landside Employees training course – All Hazard Classes –

  Management , Supervisory and all employees Responsibilities :

  Transport Operational requirements & Emergency Information Systems

  as referenced in SANS 10231 & SANS 10232.1 as well as the

  IMO Landside training requirements which has become mandatory

  for all employees with any dealing relating to Dangerous Goods ,

  be it Clerical , Sales , Operational , or any other related tasks

6)            Qualified Person’s & Consignee’s Seminar – All Classes 

 These are 1 day courses & seminars which take place at a

 venue nominated by the Client.

 The seminars consist of a detailed explanation of the new

 Dangerous Goods Legislation including guidelines to being

 compliant of this legislation.

 A certificate of Competence is issued to the delegates passing the

 Pr-DP-D Courses after successfully completing a

 Theoretical & Practical examination.

 Certificates of attendance are issued for all other courses as there

 is no SAQA Unit Standard for these training modules
