DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 11 NOVEMBER 2008

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

[Hebrews 13:5]

Sometimes we lose sight of what God has done for us; we get distracted by the material world and start to compare ourselves with others. This soon leads to envy and the obsessive desire for what we don’t have. We become like the Israelites in the desert, constantly dissatisfied and totally forgetful of their deliverance from Egypt.

They dismissed the fact that God was with them and never left them without His provision. Through all the years in the desert, all they could see was what they didn’t have, and were blind to the miracles happening around them daily.

Like them, sometimes we miss all the little ‘miracles’ happening around us each and every day, choosing rather to see the negatives in our lives instead of Gods goodness and faithfulness towards us; wanting what ‘the world’ has, forgetting all that we have and are ‘IN CHRIST’!

So today, instead of looking around at your circumstances look up to the God of your solutions!
